Three of the parts sprue focus on the cab, wheels and the flatbed deck and are molded in red.  Molding is very crisp and clean.  Not only is there no flash, I was hard pressed to find ejector pin marks and the ones I did find were very faint and located where they would be hidden after the model was built.

All of the suspension/chassis components are contained on a pair of black sprues.  If nothing else, this segregation of parts makes it very easy to build up subassemblies.  You can also prime the parts before assembly if that's your preference.

The six rubber tires have stiffeners in the centers that have to be removed.  This  can be done before or after each tire is removed from the sprue.  Don't try to sand the attachment points.  Instead, I'd suggest a new #11 blade, an OptiVisor so you can see what you're doing and a lot of patience.  And a box of Band-Aids if you get in a hurry!

A couple of lengths of chain are provided in their own bag, sized to fit the model if you use the kit provided logs.  The log sprue is the only one in the kit that has any flash on it and that doesn't matter since the flash doesn't affect the logs themselves.  However, I would suggest that you might prefer to find a real tree...oak or otherwise...where you could acquire some real limbs of a diameter suitable for this Mack's log load.  Keep in mind that this is no reflection on either Atlantis or Monogram.  Joyce Kilmer said, in the poem Trees, "...only God can make a tree."   And truth be told, no plastic molding will ever look like a real tree.

The clear parts provide headlight lenses and windshield inserts if you choose them ...they're optional parts...and the decals are in register, offering alternate markings.
